With the Law on the Amendment of the Law on Higher Education and Certain Laws and Decree Laws published in the Official Gazette No. 30425 dated May 18, 2018, Faculty of Engineering Architecture and Design was established under the management of Kayseri University Rectorate. The proposal of the Rectorate of Kayseri University for opening programs and departments within our University was examined at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 16.01.2019, and Indsutrial Engineering Department have been opened in our Faculty in accordance with the article 7 / d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880.

Programme Profile

Industrial Engineering; It is a branch of engineering that deals with the management of resources such as human, machine, material, technology, and energy to ensure the effective design and efficient implementation of production, service and information systems. Basically, in the Department of Industrial Engineering, which is one of the five oldest engineering branches in the world; Competencies in analytical thinking, mathematical modeling, developing optimized solutions to complex problems and managing operational activities in production/service processes are provided. Theory and field practice are combined in the training plan. Within the framework of this training plan; It is aimed to train innovative Industrial Engineers who can apply artificial intelligence technologies in industrial problems, carry out Industrial Engineering applications by considering factors such as society, environment and cost together and make these applications sustainable, are prone to team work, are inquisitive, and attach importance to ethical values. In this regard, it is aimed for sector representatives from our important external stakeholders to be involved in education and training activities and for Industrial Engineer candidates to experience sectoral activities while continuing their education.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates 

Due to Industrial Engineers receive a versatile education; They can work in different sectors such as automotive, textile, food, chemistry, furniture, mining and metal industry, industrial products, energy, electrical and electronics, telecommunications, informatics, finance and consultancy. Industrial Engineers are employed in various departments such as production planning, business and process development, quality, purchasing, marketing and sales, IT, logistics and supply chain management, finance and human resources. In addition, Industrial Engineers have the opportunity to work as experts, assistant experts and scrutator in public institutions and organizations (Ministries, etc.).
